Mahsa (She/her/hers) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). Mahsa found herself interested in learning about people and connecting with people in her undergraduate studies and pursued a degree in counselling. She graduated with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology.

Mahsa has extensive work experience supporting clients with diverse backgrounds facing a variety of mental health challenges, grief and loss, relationship issues, addiction, trauma, and domestic violence. Mahsa is a trauma informed counsellor trained in a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Satir Transformational Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Gottman Couples Therapy, and Internal Family Systems Therapy. Her experience includes working in an agency providing counselling services to those who are struggling with Substance Use issues. Mahsa provides counselling to youth, adults and is especially passionate about working with couples.

Mahsa firmly believes that change, growth and healing are possible, and every person possesses the innate capacity to reach their full potential. She is committed to creating a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can access their inner resources and potencies and learn new skills to work through their struggles. She believes that people are not individual entities and that we learn in relation to others. She is deeply passionate about individual and relationship therapy where she empowers her clients to explore ways to thrive individually and in their relationships. Her approach to counselling is rooted in the Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy which emphasizes open communication, self-awareness, and holistic healing. She works experientially and collaboratively with her clients to help them navigate through the challenges they are facing and transform their lives.
